During your consultation you'll meet with Dr. Bared to review your medical history, family history of hair loss, any methods you've taken to slow down the progression of hair loss, and discuss your goals. He will also assess the quality of your donor hair and examine your scalp. If he feels you're a good candidate for hair transplantation, he'll discuss treatment options and create a personalized plan for achieving the results you desire. You'll have a full understanding of what to expect before treatment is scheduled.
All procedures are performed at Dr. Bared's practice. On the day of the procedure, Dr. Bared will first design the transplantation area in front of a mirror and then you'll be brought to the procedure room. Before heading home, you'll receive detailed post-operative instructions to ensure a smooth, comfortable, and efficient recovery process. Your recovery and well-being are our top priority.

FUE hair transplants are truly not painful in nearly all cases due to the use of local anesthesia and, if desired, sedation and/or laughing gas. Post-operative discomfort is usually minimal and can be managed with over-the-counter pain medication.

Will a hair transplant leave visible scars?

Both FUE and FUG techniques are designed to minimize scarring. FUE is a minimally invasive technique that leaves tiny, barely visible scars, while the “strip” technique, or FUG, involves a single, linear scar that can be easily hidden under longer hair.

How long will it take to see results after a hair restoration procedure?

Results take time to develop. While some patients notice early changes within a few months, it typically takes about a year to see the full results as the transplanted hair grows in and thickens over time.

Is hair restoration permanent?
